Adobe Illustrator 11 Package Concept

Adobe charged design:unknown with exploring some variations on Venus. They weren't ready to give her up, but definitely wanted to see her more sexy. Our concepts tried different poses for Venus, making her modern and stylish, looking at her from the back (which proved too risque), even trying concepts that were what happened after the scene in Botticelli's version, then zooming in close. The close up won. By flattening out the flesh tones we made her more contrasty which, pushed the lips and eyes way out front. Zooming in on those sections you can see the fine details. The original Illustration from the AI 10 package was used. After the illustration was complete Adobe decided to change focus for their entire Creative suite and this version was replaced with Flowers.
