Who is design:unknown?
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain! When we take on an assignment, our goal is to promote your product, your service, your worthy cause-not ourselves. It's a bit unorthodox in the ego-crowded design field, but we tend to take the road less traveled. The offbeat and unexpected are inherently more interesting and, ultimately, more likely to be noticed. Since 1997, design:unknown has been developing brand identities and marketing messages that sell because they stand out.

How do we work?
E = mc2…a2 + b2 = c2…the logo must be large and red… Formulas are fine for math and science, but it's really no way to design. Creativity is inspired. Not manufactured. At the core of everything we create is a concept: an overriding idea that your audience will relate to and remember. The fun is finding the right concept. Then the design grows out of it. Of course, graphic standards and corporate guidelines are important. But without a concept, you're just making pretty pictures.

What should you tell your friends?
When colleagues ask about the work we do, just tell them the concepts are strong, the messages clear, and the design: unknown.
